It's pretty great. The people who shop at wegmans love it enough to come back no matter what, so instead of focusing on money the company tries to make sure customers and employees are happy.

I work at the most successful store in the country (Fairfax, VA) and while it gets pretty crazy on the weekends, it's definitely not a bad job to have.

Yeah I forgot most of the numbers they told me during training, but they'll sell something common like a 24 pack of water at a loss, but they'll have an 80% markup on fine cheeses. They know people will still buy it, and people sure do.

they started expanding down here a few years ago. It's a great area for a wegmans, lots of people willing to spend the extra money to shop here instead of a regular grocery store. There's another one opening in VA too, it'll be the 4th I think.

It's definitely a great place to shop. They've actually got some pretty competitive prices with other grocery stores in the area.

oh trust me, they really do. They'll sell stuff like fine cheeses and other fancy stuff at a big markup, but commonly purchased stuff like packs of water bottles are sold at a loss. The variety is crazy too, it kinda sucks being a cashier and having to try to learn all the different codes when they have like 15 different kinds of each fruit haha.

Haha, yeah I'm pretty familiar with the stores because I grew up with them. Moved a bit north so the stores are different but whenever I'm in Syracuse that's where we go. Tops or Price Chopper is what's more common near me.

My friend's ex gf works there. Has worked there forever so I guess she likes it. She worked stocking shifts for a while so she never had to deal with customers, but she did have to work most of the night.
